It's not about opposites. It's about how well the characters balance each other out into what makes a great picture. They are symbionts of each other. The monochrome and morose Pet-Pet and the vibrant and beautiful sprite, Nimah. Such a great exception to the typical black vs. white rule characters who are "opposites" that so many people use. They just don't work as well as these two. You have to love them.
